How to Reboot the Smartcaster
Sometimes, on any computer at any time, problems arise. Weird things will start
happening, the grey error screen will appear, or the computer locks up. In defense of the computers,
we try to make them as reliable as possible, but sometimes things which we cannot predict happen. In
this case a reboot is in order.
- If a grey error message screen has occured, please write the message down. Step ahead to step 5.
- Exit out to the Main Automation Screen from whatever screen you are in, if you can. If the Smartcaster
isn't taking keyboard imput, skip ahead to step 5.
- From the toolbar (Audio, Programming, Maintainence, & Quit) go to the Quit menu, & pick Yes.
- This will take you to either a menu screen, or to the Command Prompt. If you get the menu, press
the ESC key to get the Command Prompt.
- Either press the keys Control, Alt, Del together to begin the actual reboot, or hit
the Reset button on the front of the case. That's not the monitor, but the computers case itself.
