Function Rotation Screen
This is the function screen from Smartcaster. This designates the function rotation, or the order in which functions are played. This particular screen is for the function zeros. To toggle to function 1, press the F1 key. Function 2 is F2, & so on. The F10 key will show you the zero functions. Now, notice the rotation for Sunday, above. At the top of the column, there are three functions, 01, 02, & 03. So, when it's Sunday, & it's time to play the first function zero, the Smartcaster will play 01. The next time it needs to play function zero, 02 will play. Notice that after the function 03, a stop appears. This simply means the functions will now start over with their rotation. So the next function zero to play after 03 on Sunday would be function 01. The functions don't have to be in numerical order, though. Notice Monday, above. Also, notice that it says mute is off. That is for stations that use a satellite network to fire a function. The Smartcaster allows them to choose whether or not they want to mute the satellite when the function is playing. In other words, the satellite is playing out over the air, they send down a relay to fire a Legal ID. The Smartcaster user can choose either to mute the satellite while the function plays, or not mute and have the satelite play underneath the satellite while it plays the function.
