Breaks Menu Options

File Menu

Import Breaklog

1. Insert the floppy containing the breaklog.
2. Press Alt+F
3. Press Enter or I
4. Press Enter
5. Enter the day the log represents. Again, there are hot keys.
6. Remove the disk when done.

Change Day

1. Press Alt+F
2. Arrow down one and press Enter, or press C
3. Select the desired day from the choices provided

   or

1. Use the +/- keys to change days from the main Break Screen

Exit

1. Press Alt+F
2. Arrow down two and press Enter or press X
3. Select from the choices of Yes, No, or Cancel

   or

1. Press the Escape key from the main Break Screen
2. Select from the choices of Yes, No, or Cancel

Edit Menu

Find

1. Press Ctrl+Home
2. Press Alt+E
3. Press F for Find, or Enter
4. Type in the cut number
5. Press Enter
6. Press F3 to find the next occurrence of the desired number
7. Press Enter, or O for OK, when done

Find & Replace

1. Press Ctrl+Home
2. Press Alt+E
3. Press R for Find & Replace
4. Type in the script number to find
5. Press Enter
6. Type in the new script number to change to
7. Press Enter

Copy this hour to others

1. Move the cursor to the hour that will be copied
2. Press Alt+E
3. Press H
4. Insert the number of the first hour in the range of hours
5. Press Enter
6. Insert the number of the last hour in the range of hours These numbers will be the same number if it is to be copied to just one hour.
7. Press Enter

Copy the break

1. Move the cursor to the break that will be copied
2. Press Alt+E
3. Press B
4. Type in the break number where the information is to go
5. Press Enter

Delete this hour

1. Move the cursor to the hour that will be deleted
2. Press Alt+E
3. Press D for Delete
4. Answer Yes or No

Options Menu

Each option in this menu is followed by ( ) parenthesis. An asterisk (*) inside the parenthesis indicates that the option is turned on.

Calculate Lengths

1. Press Alt+O
2. Press Enter, or C

Highlight Missing Cuts

1. Press Alt+O
2. Press M
3. All numbers without matching audio will be highlighted in orange

Check Outdated - this feature normally defaults to "on."

1. Press Alt+O
2. Press O

Insert Menu

Insert

1. Place the cursor where the desired event is to be placed.
2. Enter the Insert Menu.
3. Select the hot key of the desired event.
4. Events followed by three periods (...) will expect further information from the operator.

• Source expects a number from 1 up to 32.
• Wait expects a one-digit number for minutes and a two-digit number for seconds.
• Network Switch expects a number between 1 and 24 (channels to air) depending on the number of RIDZ Switchers in the system.
• Function Rotator looks for a two-digit number between 00 and 06.
• Pulse a Relay expects a number between 1 and 32, depending on the number of relay cards.
• Jump to Break expects a number between 1 and 288.

Placing another event without moving the cursor will cause the events in the break to the right of the cursor to move once to the right. If the line already has ten events, it will not react to a new command to insert.

Use the two-key command for the desired event. The two-key command is listed to the right of each choice in the Insert Menu.
