Synopsis

This patriotic musical revue combines comedy, dance and music reminiscent of the USO offering to World War II troops. During these tours, Hollywood stars and starlets made it their duty to entertain "the boys." G.I. JUKEBOX is a night at the Stage Door Canteen.

The cast sings some of the best music of the 20th century. The sentimental wartime songs include favorites originally sung by the Andrew Sisters and Spike Jones. In The Mood, I’ll Be Seeing You, Cocktails for Two, and God Bless America are just a few of the songs in this fabulous score. This show could easily entertain today’s military men and women. The musical numbers span Big Band, Swing and Latin - it's a musical retrospective of an America we'll never see again.

The world is at war and for 90 brief minutes, the world is at peace as our cast delivers some of the best music of the 1940’s.  Tap your foot to the many popular tunes of the 1940s, such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, and Juke Box Saturday Night, or simply hum along to such nostalgic tunes as Moonlight Serenade or Blue Champagne.
